The holidays are in full swing right now and that means lot of parties, family gatherings and friends over. As you can imagine with seven kids it doesn’t take long for my clean house to look like a bomb exploded in it. You can read all about the way we do chores at our house HERE but there still has to be a system in place for anything that happens after 9 am. HAHAHA
We do a couple tidy ups after lunch and before dinner but do you ever notice that when kids tidy up they kinda just move stuff off of the middle of the floor and stack things along the wall, on tables, under chairs or any other place that makes it still look tidy even though it really isn’t. To over come this when company comes I have created a full proof system for getting all the little things that are left behind put away where they go. I spend 5 minutes pulling everything out that I see in the room that doesn’t belong and make a pile in the middle of the room. Next I set a timer and see if they can race the clock and put it all away. Now all I need are the kids!!
Making it fun is the key to getting the kids involved and making clean up a cinch. To do this I am taking full advantage of my new T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Core Prime I picked up at Walmart. It has the new T-Mobile Simple Choice™ prepaid plan that has the “Music Freedom” feature. Have you heard of it? My tweens LOVE it.
You can listen to all your favorite music stations without using any data!! Hello Awesome! All for only $50 a month you can have the great T-Mobile service with No Extra charges and Unlimited Streaming!
Now to get cleaning! We put our favorite Christmas jam station on Pandora and in no time we are done and ready for our next Christmas party! Our all time favorite station on Pandora is Glee Holiday it is my kids favorite upbeat Christmas music.
Next time you have a gathering try my 30 minute tidy up and I promise your house will be ready without any complaints from your little helpers! What’s your favorite Christmas jam music?
