What does your Family Night look like?
It doesn’t always go as planned, it doesn’t always last a full 30 minutes even and with little ones that’s ok. Just as long as we try our best they will get the rest. I love teaching my kids, I’m not perfect at it but I love it and I think that’s all that matters. We have even had neighbor kiddos join in on the fun too.
Family Night Ideas:
Movie night– Have a few favorite movies listed on paper, put them in a bowl and have a child pick one, set up a table with popcorn, candy and goodies like a concession stand for a fun night! I’ve even bought little tickets at the dollar store and made a ticket booth for them-THEY STILL TALK ABOUT IT TODAY!
Topic Night-Teach the importance of Prayer and how we can listen in our prayers for answers. Find a topic like that or another one you feel your family may need to revisit, like manners, honestly or the priesthood.

Character Night-Teach about different Characters in the Bible or BOM and have your children dress up like them. All you need is some scarfs, pillow cases and twine/rope and whaala!
Gift of Thanks-Have your kids make thank you notes to have on hand for any event with construction paper and stickers. This was perfect for us last week, my oldest daughter had surgery and she pulled out a gallon size ziplock that was full of homemade “Thank You” notes she had made. All she had to do was fill them out, stamp them (which she loves doing) address it and send them on their way.
