Are you looking for a quick workout or something new to try? Maybe you do not like public workouts, are short on time, never know when you will have the time to workout, are pregnant or looking for something you can do in the privacy of your home. Here are some free resources I have found that are available on the web or for streaming to your TV.
Exercise TV
You can find some great workouts via ExerciseTV on Hulu. I thought Excersisetv.com was lost forever until I realized they moved over to Hulu! There are 15+ minute workouts or you can make your own routine using a variety of 2-4 minute exercises available. Make sure you check around the different stations listed. You may be surprised at what you can find: Yoga, Pilates, Weight lifting, Aerobics, Prenatal workouts, T’ai Chi, Celebrity workouts and some good oldies. My personal favorite are the Mari Winsor Pilates workouts (there are a variety available). For those of you that are Jillian Michaels fans, she has clips from her DVD workouts on here that you can combine to get a full workout. They change out their workouts every now and then, so keep checking back for some new variety. I had a free prenatal workout that I loved that was on here a year ago and is currently gone. If they ever bring it back, I’ll let you know. LOVED it!
YouTube
YouTube’s BeFit Channel has some great workouts, too! I always thought the videos on YouTube where the poor copied or illegally copied type, but I was wrong. They have a large variety of full length videos, not just clips, including Jillian Michaels videos (6 Week Six-Pack or 30 Day Shred). They also have a program called BeFitIn90 that gives you a new workout everyday. What great motivation! I know I get tired of the same thing all the time.
Roku
Roku has some great FREE fitness channels available. You have to check them out and see if there are any workouts that you will enjoy. They include a large variety…yoga, pilates, aerobics, weight lifting, prenatal and postnatal workouts. They also have a few channels available for a paid subscription, which is a nice option if you don’t have a DVD player. We ordered a DVD and found out later we could have gotten it on Roku so we could workout in front of the TV where there is more room instead of the office. Our only DVD player is our computer. 🙂
MyOMyTV
This is another resource for FREE fitness workouts focused on strength training, like Kettlebell workouts.
Amazon
If you happen to have an AmazonPrime membership (I have one by accident!), there are some free fitness videos available and other fitness videos available Amazon Instant Video for a small fee.
