Have you ever passed an LDS Temple (also known as Mormon Temple) and wondered what it looked like inside and what went on inside its walls? The Gilbert, Arizona Temple is currently open to the public for FREE tours (Monday – Saturday) until February 15, 2014 and a great opportunity to see it first hand. If you do not live near the Gilbert Temple, the Ft Lauderdale Temple in Florida will be opening to FREE public tours March 29, 2014.
For those who are not near either location, a local Arizona news station, ABC15, put a great special together called “The Gilbert Mormon Temple: What Happens Inside” that will walk you through the inside of a Temple and will give you a lot of great information. They broke it down into 4 parts (the last is only 3 minutes long), which I have included at the bottom of the post.
Part 1:
I will be taking my children next week to walk through the Gilbert Temple and I will be capturing a better picture than the one below. This was from one of our drives past the construction of the Temple and it is definitely time to get an updated photo for my keeping!

ENJOY!!!
It was amazing! I drove my kids from California to see the open house, they loved it.
Oh, that is awesome! I remember we drive out from AZ to see the San Diego opening when I was 13. It was neat to see then and still neat now!
