Thanks to Fresh & Easy and the the Clever Girls Collective I recently had an opportunity to take my 5 year old daughter on a mini “adventure”/shopping trip to check out our local Fresh & Easy store. I will admit that I have not been into a Fresh & Easy store before and was quite impressed with how much they had to offer. The store itself is smaller than most grocery stores I have been in, but they were not lacking in variety of product. They have everything from produce, meat, ready made meals that are freshly made, canned foods, cereals, ice cream, frozen foods, paper goods, milk, cleaning products, etc. You name it, they probably had it. I loved walking down the meat isle and seeing the fish and chicken in the clear packaging and of course we loved the ice cream section, too!

Healthy Food

I did a little research before I went to the store and was excited to learn that they “never use high-fructose corn syrup, added trans fats, artificial colors or flavors in any Fresh & Easy brand products.” I have been trying to kick extras out of my foods, like high-fructose corn syrup, and it was a relief to be able to go to the store and know that I did not have to worry about that being in their ingredients and as and added bonus, it seemed that the majority of their products were the same price, if not better, than at other grocery stores I have been to. In fact, I was able to find some fresh&easy salad dressings that did not have any canola oil in them for a great price. This was a very exciting find for me!

Great Customer Service

All registers were open when we got to the front and even though it was a self-checkout style, a Fresh & Easy employee was right there to help me checkout, bag and walk me through their new members program. I will have to note that our particular Service Member was amazing! She was very patient with my overly helpful daughter and happily let her “assist” with the bagging. My daughter loved this part the most!

Date Night Dinner On a Budget

As I have an 8 month old that refuses to take a bottle, my husband and I do a lot of date nights in with a movie and a treat. Thanks to my stop at Fresh & Easy I was able to pick up dinner (already prepped and ready to be heated at home) as well as a dessert all for under $15. I went with the chicken enchiladas for dinner and for dessert, I went with cheesecake. We were not quite sure how the enchiladas would turn out as it was intended to be heated in the microwave and let me tell you, there was no need to fear…this is not your typical microwave meal. Since it was a fresh&easy meal, it was recently prepared and intended to be sold ready to go. Using the microwave to heat worked great and it was nice not to heat up the kitchen by using the oven to bake the meal. The cheesecakes also turned out nice! Since they were mini and Fresh & Easy had a few different options to choose from, I was able to pick a cheesecake that each of us would like. The one with chocolate was mine…just in case you were wondering!

Sunday Family Dinners Made Easy

While in the meat section this Beef & Vegetable Slow Cooker Kit caught my eye and I knew it would be perfect for Sunday Dinner. With our church time currently in the middle of the day it was so nice to be able come home to a delicious home cooked meal that I did not stress over making. It was so easy to put together…literally as easy as 1, 2, 3! 1. open our fresh&easy Slow Cooker Kit, 2. Add ingredients to crockpot (the liquid and seasoning missing in the picture below) and 3. Cook for directed amount of time and serve when ready!

I literally spent less than 5 minutes prepping the meal and it was so awesome to come home to a ready to eat meal that we were able to enjoy as a family. Everyone loved it! {Sorry for the crazy faces below!}
