The holidays are right around the corner and I have found the easiest gift that the kids can make! It’s great for moms, grandmothers, aunts or any teacher or friend. This is kind of a universal woman’s gift!!
BATH BOMBS: a fizzy, foamy bath experience made with essential oils!
It’s made from mostly ingredients you have around the house. The only thing I had to buy was the citric acid and it was less than $3, so a fairly inexpensive present! I know that at least in Arizona it’s a little warm for baths but they are great in a foot bath for those at home pedicures.
Ingredients
- 1 cup citric acid (You get it in the canning section and the whole bottle is one cup.)
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 8-10 drops of your favorite essential oil (we used lavender)
- food coloring (optional)
- silicone mold or cup cake liners and a cupcake pan
Directions
In a medium bowl mix citric acid, baking soda, and olive oil.
Add 8-10 drops of your essential oil.
Mix well with a spoon until it resembles wet sand. Add 3-4 drops of food coloring if you want and continue to mix. (We split our mixture into two bowls before we added coloring to get 2 different colors.)
Spoon mixture into silicone molds and press down till tightly packed.
Let sit for12- 24 hours until completely dry and they are ready to use!!
My kids had so much fun making the first batch that they turned around and made another one the next day with peppermint essential oil! They have already decided this would make a great Sunday School teacher gift at Christmas time and for piano teachers and friends their list is very long!!
What other easy kids gifts do your kids make? I would love some more ideas!!
Can’t wait to try this!
