Over the weekend we got a special treat. These 2 little kiddos got a chance to play with a new kind of dough called Moon Dough. I was surprised by how light weight the dough is. It shapes and molds easily and doesn’t seem as messy as other doughs we have played with. The kids loved using the Push N’ Pop tools to create ocean friends with the Moon Dough Push N’ Pop Ocean Pals kit we were sent. They played with it for a good 30 minutes just creating shapes with the tool. I can’t wait to see what they come up with when they really start getting creative!
Some Additional Facts about Moon Dough:
- For ages 3 & up
- The new formula is less crumbly with no mess and never dries out
- It is odor-free
- Wheat free and Hypo-allergenic
- Can see great details in the dough with the new molds
My only complaint about the dough is the purple left a slight residue on the yellow mat and my daughter’s hands, but it came off easily with water. Other than that, the kids loved it and want to play with it more! I think they would especially love the Magic Zoo kit.

My boys loved moon dough as well. Until my youngest got it in his eye. It swelled up really bad he could barley open it. I had to take him to the emergency room and they had to flush it out. Just make sure to wash their hands really well after playing with it. I tossed all of ours out that day after we got home from the emergency room. Now I stick with good old play dough.
