I haven’t gone to the movies as much as I normally go during the summer. I don’t really know why. I LOVE going to the movies. We’ve just been busy, I guess.
2 weeks ago I told Curtis, “I just have to go to the movie. I haaaaave to.” He could see and hear my obvious distress, so he relented and took me to see X-Men. It was pretty good. I’m not a huge X-Men fan {though I do like Wolverine :))}, but I liked it alot. Being a prequel it was easier to watch than a sequel if you haven’t been keeping up with the series. I’m sure there were lots of little inside jokes that went over my head because I could hear people chuckling at different parts along the way. Oh well. It served it’s purpose. I got to see a movie.
On the 4th of July we took the kids to see Cars 2. I am wrestling with the fact that I may just like it better than the 1st. Okay, I do. I do like it better than the first. It was great!
About a month ago I dragged Curtis to see Super8.
It. Is. Awesome. You just have to desensitize yourself to cuss words, because there are alot! I would totally take my kids if it weren’t for all the cussing. In fact I’d buy it if it weren’t for all the cuss words. Other than that it is amazing! Non-stop tension and comedy the whole way. Curtis loved it so much he saw it again when he and his friends went on a “man-date” last weekend. And he HATES cussing!
Debra is super talented, an awesome mom and very funny. In her words, “I am a mentally and physically exhausted mother of five (six if you count Curtis), caretaker of too many pets, piano teacher to the most amazing students, and always a day behind on the dishes. Where are those dish fairies when I need them?” She blogs over at Curtis Fan Club.
