Planing for a party with friends a family is always a bit stressful, but I’ve found a secret to cutting the stress part out and that’s by making simple quick recipes like this one using Kraft Philadelphia Cream Cheese. #TasteTheSeason
IT IS SO YUMMY! The kids love it! This makes for a great snack after school as well. This would even be an easy neighbor treat to pass out in cute mason jars too. We have a large italian family and aside from it being loud and fun theres many taste buds to please.
Quick and Easy Tips to Avoid Holiday Shopping Stress:
Before I head out I like to make a list and stick to it, this helps to for no “over buying” when you go to the store and sticking to exactly what you need. That’s always important, especially this time of year. Lists always help me stay on track and within my budget. Also search for a coupon before you hit the road, with a large family every bit helps.
Where to go:
We headed to our local walmart to get the items we needed. The kraft cheese is located in the dairy section and super easy to find. I sent my kids over to pick up two, we doubled our recipe, this is always a bonus because it allows for leftovers.
What you will need:
- 16 ounces, weight Philadelphia 1/3 Less Fat Cream Cheese, Softened
- ½ cups Powdered Sugar
- 16 ounces, weight Old Fashioned Caramel Apple Dip
- 1 cup peanuts or nuts/topping of choice
- 4 Large Apples of your choice, Sliced Thick
Preparation:
Step 1: Gather supplies and cut up apples. We used mostly Granny Smith apples with a few Fiji apples too! My kids love when I slice up apples for recipes they get a little snack while I prep a yummy treat.
Step 2: In a medium bowl, beat together cream cheese and powdered sugar until fluffy.
I love my mixer, guess how old it is……WAY old it was my grandpas, it works great and he was such a good cook. This mixer mixes good and with love.
Step 3: Spread mixture evenly onto a platter. Spread caramel apple dip on top of the cream cheese layer. Sprinkle the top generously with nuts of choice or even toffee bits.RESIST licking the entire plate!
Step 4: Spread the caramel on top, add your toppings/nuts and then you can place your apples around it when finished.
