Happy Fall Ya’ll!
It’s that time of year, cool weather creeping in, leafs changing and pumpkins popping up all around. One thing I noticed while the littles where busy getting restless one morning as I went outside to water my plants, I noticed its too nice to be inside! SO that’s when I packed a backpack last minute which included scissors, glue sticks and construction paper! We headed to the park with craft supplies in one hand and the kids in the other.
I told the kids that we should get outdoors and enjoy the beautiful weather. The laundry can wait…..plus who said you can’t do crafts outside with your kids?! I think its a win win situation for everyone.
Tis the season! In spirit of October and Halloween we decided to make paper candy corns! The preschoolers and older kids loved doing this and even the little ones joined in too.
What you need:
- Scissors
- Glue Sticks
- Construction paper- Orange-Yellow-White
- Washable Markers (for little ones)
How/Extras:
Step 1: Cut out your pieces for the candy corn (any/all sizes work)
Step2: Then rip up the orange, yellow paper to use on the the top of the candy corn to decorate
Step 3: They can make several of these and even later string them together with fish wire to make a cute banner for your mantel.
Tip for the little ones *Mark the candy corn with dots with the markers so they know where to place the glue for their pieces.
Step 4: Lastly, let them be little! Let there be a mess and let them run and play in-between it all. After all, its beautiful outside and that makes crafting outdoors even more fun when there are no rules to the fun!
Such a fun October craft all your littles will really have fun with!
ENJOY!!!
