We just got done throwing my sister an adorable pink and gray themed baby shower over the weekend, so expect to see a bunch of super cute party inspiration over the next few weeks. One thing that I thought was genius was a fun little trick my sister-in-law showed us…
Let me introduce you to the lovely cake plate. Did you know that you can use it for more than just for showing off a cake or other sweet goodies? It can also be used as a punch bowl! I love having “tools” on hand that can be used in more than one way.
Love it! It is super simple to do…
Step 1: Turn the plate over upside down.
Step 2: Add any accents, if you want. Since we were doing a baby shower theme, we bought a small tutu from Hobby Lobby and added it on top of the base. You can use any thing else you would like as long as you do not block the hole in the base. Using nothing is totally okay too! 😉
Step 3: Add the lid upside down and insert the top piece inside of the open base. That will help make sure it doesn’t slide off.
Step 4: Add your water or punch and enjoy!
Enjoy!
Note: When I say “we” in any of these future baby shower project posts, it was mainly my mom and her excellent party planning/decorating talent that she has. I just did the inspiration research and did what I was told! 🙂
