I grew up with the idea that you never return anything empty (i.e. If you borrow a pan from a neighbor, you return it with a little treat). And I enjoy making goodies, but I’ve been feeling a little guilty giving treats to my friends that I know are trying to eat healthier and I myself do not want the extra treats lying around. So as cheesy as this may be, I came up with a quick and easy alternative to cookies or some other yummy sweet. It ended up being something my friend was craving, so that was a bonus for me. I think it turned out pretty cute!
What You Need:
- Paper – I used red and green
- Printer or a pen to hand write Thank You
- Container of Strawberries or other berries
Directions:
Step 1: Print or write your thank phrase of choice. I did “Thank You “Berry” Much!” and printed it so it only took up half a sheet of paper (width wise).
Step 2: If you have a good eye for drawing, sketch out your strawberry on the back side of the writing.I can not sketch, so I found a strawberry in clip art on word and enlarged it on the computer screen. I then put the paper on top of the screen that I just printed my “Thank You” on. Then traced the outline of the strawberry on the back of the paper, but around the words, since I could see through the paper. I was even able to do this with the green paper to get the general idea of the leaves, too.
Step 3: Glue the stem onto the strawberry and attach to Strawberries. And there you have your guilt free thank you!
ooh, such a cute idea! I need more treat free thank you ides 🙂
