Hi y’all!
My name is Nicole but my guy calls me Honey, my son calls me Momma, and my friends call me Coley. So you can call me Coley too. I’m excited to be guest posting here at Fun on a Dime today! Let me tell you a little bit about myself and then I’ll share a yummy recipe perfect for those hot dog days of summer.
I’m a work from home Momma and wife proud to call South Carolina my home. On my blog, Coley’s Corner, I share craft ideas, recipes, photos and what it’s like to be the parent of a child with special needs. My son, Noah, has Cerebral Palsy, Borderline Autism, Epilepsy, and Scoliosis so some days my blog is a place for me to vent, share his accomplishments, educate others on disabilities, and advocate for the disabled. While other days it is a place just for me to share tutorials on my latest craft project, show you a cool photo, or share a recipe. I hope you’ll stop by and take a peek at my little spot in cyberspace.
Here in the south it gets HOT HOT HOT in the summer time! And what’s better on a hot day than a cold smoothie! The great thing about smoothies is they are easy to make in your own home, relatively inexpensive to make, and since you make them with fresh fruit it’s a fun way to get fruit into your kiddos! Serve them in a fun glass with a silly straw or make up a funny name for them and your kids won’t realize it’s actually a healthy drink!
Today, I’ll be sharing my Banana Berry Smoothie Recipe with you!
You will need:
Short simple and sweet! I sometimes buy frozen strawberries and skip the ice altogether since they can still give a slush like smoothie consistency.
