My kiddos are Holiday enthusiasts! They love to participate in anything that has to deal with an upcoming holiday, especially food. My daughter loved putting these little Candy Corn Kabobs for an extended family dinner. They were super easy to put together and you can keep them simple or make them a little fancier by shaving the sides down to be an exact triangle. Everyone ate them so fast, I am glad we didn’t spend the time trimming the sides! lol
What You Need:
- Apples (or a white fruit)
- Large can of mandarin oranges
- 1 pineapple sliced or 2 cans pineapple slices
- Toothpics
Directions:
Step 1: Slice apples into slices thick enough to stay on a toothpick and then cut them in half. Cut triangles out of each half slice to go on the top of the candy corn. They need to be shorter/smaller than the other layers of fruit below.
Step 2: Sort the oranges and sliced pineapples each into their own container for easy fruit candy corn making. Take some of the juice from the pineapple can and add it to the cut apples. This will help the apples not turn brown while waiting to be eaten
Step 3: Combine the fruit with the pineapple on bottom, the mandarin oranges as the second/middle layer and the apple on the top.
Step 4: (Optional) Trim the sides to make it more candy corn shaped. We ate ours so fast that it was not worth our time! 😉
Step 5: Make this yummy essential oil citrus fruit dip we shared over at My Oil Genie on instagram. My in-laws told me that it was so yummy that they wanted to eat it with the spoon.
