If you ask my kiddos, they will tell you bells are not only good for the Christmas but all year round! I love these smaller bells because the Littles’ always find them entertaining. We intentionally made them for the toddler, but soon ever friend that came over wanted one, too!
What You Need:
- 2 Pipe cleaners
- Bells – we used 4
- Glue gun (optional)
- Scissors (optional)
Directions:
The first time we made these we used 1 pipe cleaner but the bells kept sliding together and I was afraid my toddler could get the bells off if she played with it long enough. With 2 pipe cleaners, I no longer have that fear.
Step 1: Twist the 2 pipe cleaners together a few times before adding your first bell. Leave 2 – 3 inches on each end of the pipe cleaners so you have space to finish off the full circle at the end.
Step 2: We twisted the pipe cleaner 3 times between bells, so the bells were not touching and I think they sound better, too.
Step 3: When you are finished attaching the bells, finish your circle/bracelet off by twisting the two ends of the pipe cleaner together. With most of the bracelets we made we had to cut them down at least an inch or two. You may need to add a little hot glue to cover up the wire at the end of the pipe cleaner if you cannot tuck it away. No one likes to get poked!
Step 4: For the littler wrists they needed a bigger circle to get it on, but to keep them from coming off we pinched the bracelet tight and then twisted a couple of times so they would not fall off.
Step 5: Enjoy and jingle away!!! It’s so hard to get a picture of her holding still with this bracelet on!
