Thank Goodness it’s FRIDAY! What are your plans?
Don’t feel like going out? Make it a movie night inside.
Set up before kids get home and have the movies ready to press play. The kids will love it. While you are popping the popcorn, have them play “concession” stand. It makes for a simple and easy way to have fun on a Friday night after a long busy week.
My “Candy Shoppe” was bought on Amazon, use our Amazon link on the home page to search and find different styles for your fun night.
I surprised my kids with this after school one day and they were so excited.
Most of our Friday’s are low key. Sometimes they go to grandma’s to stay the night as we prep for one or two of the kids busy Saturday filled with games. We had dinner on the patio then as the sunset and cleaned up the dinner mess, I turned the lights down low and popped on a movie. They liked “shopping” for their popcorn and candy and took turns being the “worker”. This gave them some play time before the movie started and caught their full attention. The best part was when my two littlest ones (2year old and 3 year old) had enough of the movie they could go over and play while we still watched the movie. It was enough for them to play but not to much of a distraction to disrupt the movie. My oldst still remembers when we did this for the first time several years ago and talks about it to this date. I find if fun that those little memory makers stick with them. It’s all about the time we take to spend with them, I have to remind myself of that and tell myself I’m doing a good job even while enduring the “cray” of life.
