Week 2 Bonus Points: Spend 30 minutes doing something new and fun (yet, inexpensive) with your family/kids/grandkids/siblings (if you do not have any kiddos or family around, a friend counts). This could be a fun craft, a local event, making a yummy meal together, a hike (if you are lucky enough to have warm weather), etc. Share at least one picture or shout out about your adventure/experience on your blog, facebook, or other favorite social network. You do not have to link to my site. This is all for you! I would love to see what you did, so leave a comment here with your link to your post (on facebook, click on the gray time stamp i.e “10 minutes ago” and that will give you your link.)
Possible points: 2 points each 30 minutes = 4 points max for the week. (So, you can do this twice this week)
Let’s have fun!
I managed 26 points. And surprisingly had little trouble with the no-sugar thing.
Way to go, Em! I thought I would have trouble, too, but I was able to pass it all up…I’m giving the credit to my water drinking and this challenge!
I got 28/45 points for week one. Had a birthday party on Saturday that ruined the sugar thing that day. The 64oz. water was easier on the days I worked out. Going for at least 30 points for this week~
Way to go and great idea to set a goal to do better for next week. I had a couple friends who had the same issue on Saturday. Before the new it they had a cookie in their hand. lol
I can’t get the check in form to load. I’ll keep trying! I only got 25 points last week. I started out great and then midweek got crazy and lost all sorts of points! I’ll be better today! A few friends and I are doing a challenge within your challenge. If we get 75% of the points, we’re going out to dinner at the end!
I was worried about that. I added a link, so you can go directly to the form. Thanks for letting me know and that is great that you are challenging each other!
27 points —that no sugar thing is harder than I thought!!
Great job Amber! Keep going!
Ok, so I just started this so I only got 8 points. I am having a hard time finding time to work out with my 5 month old, but I do get my sleep! 😀 I failed miserably with the sugar. This is going to be hard. The Hubby is out of town this week so I’m hoping I get some good work out time in while he is away.
Hey Jessica ~ That stage was hard for me to exercise, too. Can you get out for a walk or even stretching/yoga/pilates? Theare are all things you can do with a baby (literally with)…I’m sure there are some sites with more information. I know with Moby Wraps, they come with some stretching and yoga stuff you can do with the baby in the wrap.
I did only 5 points! I figure starting and being low is better than not starting at all!! I struggled with all of it but the sleeping I managed 5 nights of.
Oh and I want a button!
The working out, no sugar, food curfew, and water are no problem – full points all week. Very tempting, but I love a good challenge! But the sleep thing…. ugh. My 8 mo old twins hate me. I only got 6 hours once last week. So I think that puts me at 39/45.
I love the bonus points idea! Trying to think of what we’re going to do…..
Chelsea ~ I bribed those twins with suckers to keep you awake at night! lol You are doing awesome!
I got 28 points the sugar thing is not in effect for me. I had both set of parents at my house durring the weekend and so did not do well with some things. Today starts a new week so try again.
I got 45/45 last week! Going on vacation this coming weekend so there’s no way I will keep a perfect score. I love how good I’ve felt, though!
Hello! I made it to 39 points this week. Surprisingly the curfew was what hung me up the most, I would just forget to look at the clock …….. on the bright side it was usually fruit that I broke curfew with 🙂
The sugar thing killed me! So, so hard! Also, the sleeping thing. On the nights I don’t work, I get a good 8 hours! But I’m a night nurse, so after the nights I work, I don’t actually come home and sleep. I come home and stay awake watching the kiddos. Bummer. No way I can really fix that. I am going to do better with the sugar thing this week.
Hopefully, I will actually lose a little weight or a couple inches this week…
Oh, and can you email the code for the button? Thanks!
20 points for me this week. I’ve REALLY got to work on drinking water.
I was having a slump week last week and only got 21/45. However, I have been doing better the last couple of days.
Made it to 36! Drinking all the water helps lessen the sugar cravings by far!
I got 45 points…but I did it the hard way…get pneomonia!!!! I know I have spelled this wrong, but it is what I currently have! When I get better, will be at it again! Thanks for the reminder emails-I need that! Way to go everyone!!!
25 points this week. i found the challenge after the starting date, but i keep track of everything in a daily food/excercise journal anyway. yay! this is fun!
I got 34 / 45 points. I didn’t start until Tuesday afternoon. It’s been great paying attentiont to everything I eat and drink.
Great job Everyone! I just realized that I did not comment with my score…44/45.
Wow this has been fun. I earned 17 points. The sugar was the hardest. Pop a handful of jellybeans in mouth running out the door, and DANG! I just lost a point for today:( Then the after 8 was a kicker! That is close to the time I clock out as mommy (not really) and try to get in a tivo’d show and gotta have icecream and popcorn. Ugh:( It has made me look at the habits that I have and how they neew to change. Thanks so much for doing this:) Good luck everyone
44/45 points, YEA!!! Having to be accountable makes me think about eating that cookie or eating after eight, etc. I think to myself…oops I will lose points, and I am pretty competitive soooooooo. I’m maintaining my weight loss now and loving the new body!
31 points for me! That actually surprised me when I added it all up. The first few days were HARD, and I did not do well at all, but then I kicked it up, and the hubs has been merciless with enforcing my no sugar (secretly I thank him dearly for helping).
I just added a post to my blog about my week!
http://homemaidsimple.blogspot.com/2011/04/fitness-challenge-week-1.html
Am I missing something here?? Isn’t it 7 points possible per day (1pt-water, 2pts-exercise, 2pts-no sugar, 1pt-sleep, 1-pt 8pm curfew) for 7 days for a total of 49 points per week? I tracked everything this way and got 46/49 points for the week. Please correct me if I’m misunderstanding something…
Otherwise, things are going well. My roommate and I have done “no-sugar weekdays” a lot in the past. The first couple of days are hard, but it’s just a matter of making a conscious effort before you stuff something into your mouth! 🙂 The curfew helps me to not eat crap just because I’m bored…
I got 38 points for week one. Audrey’s birthday did me in. Couldn’t resist the cake and ice cream.
I only got 21 points, but I was on vacation with my four sisters! The sleep and water helped me out on this one, but hopefully I can raise my score next week!
